Super Flares

Denim Supe Flare + We The Free My Boyfriend's tee + South Wind studded leather wrap + Arrow Stone ring + Metal Open cuff: Free People | Hat: Madewell | Accordion bootie: Seychelles

If you had told me I was ever going to wear bell bottoms again, I would've laughed.
I'm almost 100% sure that there's even a post (somewhere in this blog) about how much I despise(d) them. Well this is proof of how our likes and dislikes change a lot overtime... Yes, I even cringe at old posts in this blog. I mean, what was I thinking!???

This loose tee was the perfect pairing for this pants. All that was missing was a desert, hay, a tumbleweed rolling in the background, a horse, and a holster... Maybe next time!... Nah, too much of a production.

The Aviator

Glasses: Warby Parker | [Cloth & Stone] Nightfade Buttondown: Anthropologie | Bombay tank + Keira seamless bralette + High rise busted skinny jeans + Metal open cuff + [Jeffrey Campbell] Hunt the plains boot : Free People

A pair of glasses can sure make outfits more interesting and simply awesome. I'm currently in love with these aviator frames from Warby Parker. And Chris approves. If husband says yes, then you always know it is a must have.

This shirt is one of my favorites from a while back. (I've said it before) Cloth & Stone is one of my favorite brands from Anthropologie. The simplicity, use of neutrals, and construction of their pieces gets me every time.

I'm enjoying the little amount of wind that has been contributing to somewhat dying cool temperatures, because Florida is ready to turn the heat on to maximum level ::Insert sour face::

Oh Summer, I only liked you when you would give me a long break from school; the adult life.

Ch ch ch Cherry Bomb

The Runaways tee + Breaker heeled boot: Free People | jeans: Rag & Bone

Being a musician, I have a weakness for classic band tees. So its obvious that one of the many things I love about Free People is their band tees. And yes, it seems I've started a collection:

-Van Halen
-Fleetwood Mac

I love the simplicity of 'The Runaways' (Joan Jett) tee. The rich cream color is a nice tone to slightly break away from the ivory/white I wear all the time.

Light blue is a color I've never quite liked for jeans; probably because I could never find a wash I loved, until now. As soon as I spotted this high waist pair of Rag & Bone jeans I knew it was the perfect light vintage wash I was looking for. Plus they are comfortable, so I am and will be wearing them a lot.

Dash, Wizards and Symphony.

El Porto Romper + Galloon Lace Racerback + Arrow Stone Ring: Free People | Matisse Caty Western bootie: DSW | Necklace and Bracelets: Premier Designs

This romper is probably the easiest piece to throw on and style. Also it has pockets. How could I say no!

After a whole week of being sick, I'm sure looking forward to this week. Valentines is almost here!
On Wednesday Chris and I will be attending a Dashboard Confessional concert. After years and years we finally get to see them live!

Talking about fun things, October of last year I found out about a Harry Potter event. Immediately I had to tell my geeky husband about it.
Dr. Phillips center for the Performing Arts is going to be playing the first Harry potter film with a live symphony. How cool is that?!!

We knew right away it would be the perfect valentines celebration. Plus having annual passes to Universal means a visit to the park as well. It's a win-win situation.

Here's to recovering from this cold so I can truly enjoy this week.

Happy Valentines.

Not So Tough Now

Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

Double Weave Denim Jacket + High Rise Busted Skinny Jeans + Van Halen Raglan Tee + belt + Arrow Stone ring: Free People | Matisse Caty Western bootie: DSW

All them Rock & Roll Vibez. My husband swears we just need a motorcycle to complete the look. I always try to stir the conversation away from that subject.

The beginning of this week we had some tornado watches, and although I've yet to know what it's like to experience one, I've seen my fair share in the movie Twister. LOL.

My phone lit up with the warning at 2 AM. I saw the flashes pouring in through the window from distant thunder, and I lost it. I quickly got up hugging my pillow and told my husband I couldn't sleep in the bed. Know that my side of the bed faces the window. I know I'm silly, but the sound of the wind, and visible flashes, along the message on the phone were not ok.

I should've begun this post by saying how sweet my husband is. He asked where I was, to what I replied -"in the hallway". I can hear you all laughing while reading this, but I just can't deal with natural disasters. Or roaches. Or... OK, I have a lot of fears lol.

My husband got up and asked if I wanted him to set the sleeping bags in the hallway for the both us. My heart. I love this man so much.
We didn't get a goodnight sleep, but the fact that he was willing to do anything to make me feel better.

This post is to the man behind the camera every week. I love you babe.
