Dotted and burgundy

burgundy pants- tillys
mustard flats- charlotte russe
polka dot cardigan as top- Forever21

Wearing my cardigan as a top, but this time is not backwards..... madness!!!!!! lol

I just have to say that I love love LOVE burgundy, I don't know how many times I've said it on this blog, probably a lot! but seriously is the one color that I've never gotten tired of.

Back in my early high school years my favorite colors were black and grays and whites, non stop , I loved everything about the punk style, metal studs etc (I believe most ppl have gone through those crazy stages, and say  "What was I thinking?!!?!?!!?"... hope not just me).

Towards my last years of high school I went for the beach style girl, browns corals and tan, shell necklaces (I mean seriously talk about a drastic change).  In those days of brown and tans I went shopping and spotted the cutest burgundy shorts, I immediately loved them and wore those shorts all the time, with pinks browns, greens, tans, it was such a a fun color to wear and combine stuff with.

Getting out of high school I was tired of the color brown, it was everywhere in my closet so I got rid of it.
I started to like burgundy more, and I thought to myself "welp, here I go to another phase of color that I eventually will get rid of."... I was wrong! this color has been truly constant, I've liked through the years and I'm even using at my wedding :)

So is there a color you've always liked and never gotten tired of?

So I wasn't joking when I said I can wear this pearls in more than 30 ways. This way is yet one of the other ways you can wear it, aside from the one I have already Shown you. These are the best pearls I have ever owned :D

I love teal, I think is one of the colors I want to be using a lot in the fall, it goes great with mustard, gold,  mint, burgundy, brown, cognac, tan etc, etc. so that is a plus plus! are you excited for fall? I certainly am :)

what color is your favorite at the moment and can't wait to incorporate into the fall?

My cutie and I went to a friend's wedding yesterday. It was beautiful to see the union of two people becoming one in such a big exciting commitment and to be a part of it! I'm so happy for them and their new marriage and I can certainly not wait for mine! 1 month and 2 weeks to go! :D

Have a lovely Monday <3

What a tomboy

khaki pants-2020ave

See those ominous clouds in the sky? yes we are talking about rain again. seriously is there any post I can write about  sunshine, butterflies and rainbows? well, i guess rainbows come after the rain, so maybe not rainbows :P

Because of the gray sky, the pictures where once again not coming out that great, but duh Lizette, your camera has options for this kind of weather, and yes, the option is called "cloudy" and it worked perfectly because these pictures needed little editing, and that's always a plus! :D

Since i mentioned butterflies now lets move on into another species, elephants. I love this necklace and was having a hard time trying to wear it with something that would look good. Well, this pants definitely made the cut! it was like peanut butter and jelly, but not edible :P
Elephants remind me of my friend Lauren, she loves loves elephants! and Lauren if you are reading this I found something on etsy (elephant related) that you would love :D cause I certainly love it :)

Lauren and I had been talking about skateboards and skating the night before, since i recently found out she skates, so I totally blame her that i wanted to go back in my 10th grade years when I used to be more confident on the board than now (no crazy tricks or anything, I was never a fan of those, just cruising on the board) and I feel this whole talk about skateboards put me back in my tomboyish element >< lol, but the outfit came out good, i think :)

So some exciting news, on Thursday we started our married couple or soon to be married (like Chris and I) bible study, we are super excited! So please if you could be praying for us and the beginning of the church plant "the Anchor Church" and all its bible groups that have started 3 weeks ago, including ours.
It's exciting to be part of a strong body of believers that is willing to go out and reach out the community and share the hope of Jesus that we all have and know truly in our hearts.

Have a happy Friday!! and have a fabulous weekend!

You know your outfit looks good when your fiancee falls head over heels at your doorstep when you open the door; Yes, that is what happened on sunday.
I'm not sure why out of all the outfits he liked this one so much, but I'm happy he did :)

This green striped blouse is one of my new favorites and it looks so good with the pearl necklace, that is wearable in more than 30 ways, and I'm not kidding, this necklace is super super long and it rocks, thank you Premier design Jewelry for designing this awesome necklace.
This bag is an oxblood color I have been wanting for a long time, isn't it cute? it was 5 dollars, yep that is Goodwill for you :D

On sunday after church and after lunch, Chris and I headed over to see a possible house that could be for rent for us. We've been praying this house works out because we can't afford more than what we have stated. But we know that if this house doesn't work, God has something else in store for us.
We will find out soon if we can rent it! :D so be praying for us!

We have been crunching numbers trying to figure out budget after the wedding and stuff, and I have to say growing up can be exciting but is a very dramatic change, now we think not of just one person but of two, and the beginning of sharing lives and everything together.
Don't get me wrong I'm very excited to get married and start my life with this guy, but its kind of scary looking at all the big decisions that we both will take together, it's definitely a huge step in life, but we are both excited to see what will come for us in the future :)

Thrift day

dress-Urban outfitters
bag and hat- F21

necklace- premier designs jewelry

On Saturday I went thrifting with my friend Lauren. It started with "let's go to the beach only, day" but after she saw the forecast for rain and thunder, we decided it'll be best not to go and so we decided to go to thrift stores instead.

It was a fun day, and she took me to goodwill for the first time! I know, I know, I've been missing out!

This was my 30 min to get ready, outfit.
Whenever you see me on a casual dress it means I didn't bother to combine tops with bottoms because of lack of time, but i thought that for 30 min. it didn't come out bad at all. What do you think?

So I've had this boater hat for 2 years now, and I haven't worn it in a while. I have like 5 other hats in the corner of my room I have to start wearing them, specially the winter hats as well! they are so cute and cant wait till its cool enough to wear them, cause wool in this hot weather is a no go.

It seems this Boater hat is popular right now, so i figured I started wearing it and jump on the trend with an old, now new hat.
The reason I had stopped wearing hats its cause i always thought i looked bad on them, but ever since i got my bangs cut right and worn my fedora a couple times and my fiance complimented me on it, I looked again in the mirror and noticed that hats don't look bad on me, at all. At least i hope so. :)

The necklace I'm wearing here is a present from my fiance's mom, (Mommy Donna)  isn't it so cute? :D it was so sweet of her to give it to me, I love it!

Happy back to the grind Monday!!!

Ps. Lauren if you are reading this, we forgot to take a picture together for the blog :( booo! meow!
