First of all, Happy Belated Christmas to you all. It really feels like I haven't been on this blog for a while. It's true, I went for a short hiatus there. But here I am, making a last post of the year. Can you believe it's almost 2015!?

We had a lovely Christmas in family, with lots of food, desserts and tons of chocolate. My workout routine is going to have to double in the upcoming weeks. Although the Willy Wonka overproduced factory like, stashed in my pantry, won't help. Now it'll be a good time to have Halloween again?! Right?

Oh and note to self: wear a sweater dress when it's 50 degrees out and it won't go as high as 70 in the afternoon. #Floridawinter

Have A Happy New Year!!!!

Last time I wore this dress I had my natural hair color, and also wore my hair differently.
Not gonna lie, sometimes I miss the brunette. But I'm very much happy with the blonde at the moment. My goal is to go a lot lighter than this, which it's a slow process that requires a lot of patience -something I lack most of the time.

So this one thing coming up is very much exciting. If you remember on a post, a couple months ago, I mentioned that my church band and I (The Anchor Collective) went to Georgia to record music that we had written. Well, our cd "The Homeward Ep" (sounds so surreal to say) is finally here!! and we are having a release party next friday the 19th.
This has been a very exciting project, in collaboration with artists Felicia Fish who did all of the cd artwork, and poets Brandon Lubin and Nick Murray.
So, If you live close by or would like to travel from afar or just happen to be in town, we would love for you to come. It's a night you don't want to miss.

Excuse me as I take a sip from my fruit smoothie, while you enjoy your delicious hot cocoa.
Cold fronts aren't happening as often as I would've liked, and the weather report isn't giving any cold hope. But I'm hoping to jinx it by saying: 'This is going to be another warm Christmas, isn't it.'

Chris and I went to get our Christmas tree -Our yearly 'say no to fake trees' tradition- We went to this tree place Chris found out about, online. A little far from our home, but oh, so worth it. I had never seen so many types of pine trees: Blue Spruce, White Pine, Scotch Pine. They had them all,  and I wanted to take one of each, home.
Have you gotten or put up your tree yet? Sneaky Christmas is swiftly approaching!

If there's a dress that can twirl, It's this one. It was a gift from my husband, on my birthday, and I already can't stop wearing it.

I wore this to our 2 year anniversary dinner, a couple days ago. It was a given that we would go to Flemming's, the first restaurant we visited as husband and wife on our honeymoon.

I was excited to find a Flemming's close home, because a 3 hour drive to Orlando was a no go. I jokingly told Chris: -'we should tell the restaurant that we are on our honeymoon, again"- Why you ask? Well, last time we told them so, they gave us free chocolate truffles and a 25 dollar gift certificate. Yes, it was awesome!
If you ever go there, make sure to try out their chipotle mac n cheese. You won't be disappointed. Trust me.

P.S. 55 degrees in FL all day, and loving it.

All that lace

If there's a pair of boots that's seriously tough to remove off your feet, it's this pair. I mean look at all that lace to undo; laziness takes over by looking at it.  You should've seen my husband helping me out with that laziness, as he was trying to pull off the boot that was literally eating half my leg. I just wished there had been someone videotaping the whole process, because it was a rather comical moment. I'm still laughing.

In other news, Chris and I had our two year anniversary on monday the 10th. Can you believe it's already been two years?! I certainly can't. <3

Down to basics

At last, fall is in the South Florida air. Well, more like bipolar weather, but definitely cooler than summer. This camel scarf is one of my favorites whenever we get a cold front, and to have been able to wear it  without sweating was a success this past weekend.

Like I said before, I've been on a simple note lately. I love to have basic pieces in the closet that consist of black, whites, grays and denim. Basics are a must for those 'I don't know what to wear' days.

So this past weekend aside from a refreshing cool weather, The Anchor Church (my home church) gathered at what will be our new location (Weston FL), on November 9th. It was beautiful to see the team come together and pray before our relaunch.
Please join us in prayer as we are excited to see what God will do there. 1 day to go!
