Back when I got this dress I thought I wouldn't get to wear it much because it is always hot in Florida. But we've gotten some pretty winter days here lately, including Valentines. This dress was perfect for such an occasion.

I'm enjoying the few temperature drops we are getting as much as I can. I think the majority of people always looks forward to summer - the beach, the irritating warm air - ha! Not me. Nothing beats breathing that cool air in, it is so refreshing. And just like a great vacation, I don't want it to end.

Happy belated valentine's!! Hope yours was as wonderful.
My husband and I had a lovely night out to one of our favorite spots for valentines, Lincoln Rd in Miami.
I love going out for Valentines, It's without fail one of the coldest nights in South Florida. Walking down Lincoln rd in such night it's my perfect kind of date.
I know, so brave to go out on Valentines, possibly the most crowded day. But the fact that we didn't have a reservation to a restaurant and we only waited 5 minutes for a table? -Yes, true story.

Before dinner, Chris took me to a store I have been patiently wanting to step into, FreePeople.
He got me a gift card, and he knew I would impatiently want to use it.
Seriously, my husband spoils me way too much.

The outfit I'm sharing here is not what I wore for Valentines, but I will share that with you soon.
The bag on this pictures, is a gift from my mom. She had this bag made for me in Argentinian leather, and the color is just lovely.
I suspect it will make a continuous appearance on the blog.

If Pocahontas had an alter ego

If Pocahontas had an alter ego, I think this would be her dress.
I love, love! the minimal aspect of this print and how it makes a statement without being too loud.

I've noticed my wardrobe has shifted significantly. I'm no longer wearing the vintage dresses, polka dots, knee length skirts, lots of color... at least not now. Maybe I'll get back to it someday, or maybe not. But having minimal key pieces and a lot of neutrals with some color in my wardrobe, that's what I'm loving now.

I know I'm guilty of over-wearing my black jeans; that my outfit posts may be boring you. Thankfully this dress helps me break away a little from my favorite jeans.
Also, I'm not sure I like this boots with this dress. But all I know is that it was a cold morning.

A late saturday post. Why not?!

I've worn this dress a lot. My husband picked it for me at his store about a year ago. it's not only perfect, it's special. And I wore it to his surprised birthday dinner. So yes this is a long overdue post. I should make this blog posts twice a week again.

This past weekend my husband and I headed out to the Harry Potter celebration in Orlando. Three whole days at universal and Island of adventures? -yes, please- All day everyday.

The weather was lovely; a little chilly in the mornings but so wonderful in the afternoons. I had so much strawberry/peanut butter ice cream, chocolate raspberry ice cream, hot butterbeer and sticky-toffee pudding.
No worries I did eat food too, but dessert is always a priority on my menu.

We had a blast. But of course vacationing with your best friend, always is.
