When looking for basic t-shirts, Everlane, Free-people and Madewell are my favorites sites. They have a great fit + quality. But if we want a more reasonable price, Everlane is it. Plus they also carry some cute backpacks; my husband sure loves his.

Another site I want to share with you is Flechahandmade.
The necklace I'm wearing here was a gift from the sweet Emily Rodriguez, from RoseandMint. I wasn't much of a dainty jewelry kind of gal, but this necklace completely changed my mind. I just love the simplicity + it's a beautiful arrow. Who doesn't love arrows?!

Check out Emily's handmade jewelry FLECHAHANDMADE

'I would love to go shopping with you!' -The words from one of my neighbors as she walked by...

I remember the first time I decided to step out of the blue curtain background in my bedroom, to take outdoor pictures for the blog. Waiting for no one to be roaming outside was essential, mostly because people would always ask what I was doing.
I'm not one for show, really. Talking about my blog is always something that has made me blush. Let's just say it took me about a year before I started sharing my blog posts on Facebook and Instagram.

But I enjoy looking back at posts that say what I did or where I went, or just simply seeing how much my style has changed, or how much older I look now. But let's not talk about getting older, that's a theme I dare share around birthday time, because that's when you officially age. Right?!

Anyways, did I not say this dress was going to help me break away from my black jeans? Well, here it is again. My sweet mom sent me another cute bag and I knew it would go perfectly with this dress; one of my favorites.

Ren-fest

Olive has become my new mustard. And yes I'm talking about colors, unlike my husband who when proof-reading my post, thought I was talking about replacing mustard for olives on my sandwich.
I don't even know.
Anyways, this baggy shirt is probably the comfiest. Then again all the Cloth & Stone shirts sold at anthropologie are just like it. One of my favorite brands.

So this past weekend Chris and I headed out to the Renaissance fest, or like most people shorten it to: Ren-fest.
Funny enough I never knew what 'Ren' stood for, mostly because I always called it Rain-fest. Which makes absolutely no sense.

It was my first time going and the weather was not bad. The rain held off really well -ha! rain- and the cloudy skies + the nice breeze made the day enjoyable.
Now I can say I've shot an arrow, seen a mud show, seen how glass is made, watched some jousting, and my husband getting hugged by a guy covered in mud- true story.

Can I wear all of my valentine gifts at once?  -Yes!
Out of the 3 things I got with my Freepeople gift card, my top pick was this leather vest. If I had seen it online I probably wouldn't have thought of getting it. But It's all about trying it on -the downside of an online shopper.

On Tuesday, Chris, a friend of ours and I went to see August Burns Red. I'm not a big metal fan but Chris and I hadn't been to a live show in a while, so I decided to go with him. All I know is that I'm glad Chris bought me earplugs, because I'd be deaf right about now.

The one show I can't wait to see in April, is The Soil & The Sun. They are more my style of music.
If you haven't yet, you have to check out that band. You'll be glad you did.
