Not So Tough Now

All them Rock & Roll Vibez. My husband swears we just need a motorcycle to complete the look. I always try to stir the conversation away from that subject.

The beginning of this week we had some tornado watches, and although I've yet to know what it's like to experience one, I've seen my fair share in the movie Twister. LOL.

My phone lit up with the warning at 2 AM. I saw the flashes pouring in through the window from distant thunder, and I lost it. I quickly got up hugging my pillow and told my husband I couldn't sleep in the bed. Know that my side of the bed faces the window. I know I'm silly, but the sound of the wind, and visible flashes, along the message on the phone were not ok.

I should've begun this post by saying how sweet my husband is. He asked where I was, to what I replied -"in the hallway". I can hear you all laughing while reading this, but I just can't deal with natural disasters. Or roaches. Or... OK, I have a lot of fears lol.

My husband got up and asked if I wanted him to set the sleeping bags in the hallway for the both us. My heart. I love this man so much.
We didn't get a goodnight sleep, but the fact that he was willing to do anything to make me feel better.

This post is to the man behind the camera every week. I love you babe.

Quality vs Quantity

Pullover sweater: Urban Outfitters | tee: Madewell | Loved Leather Messenger backpack + High Rise Busted Skinny Jeans + Joe Lace up Boot (Jeffrey Campbell) in Khaki suede + Retro Jean Belt + Arrow Stone Ring: Free People

I had been wanting a backpack for a very long time. This backpack, along with this comfy boots, fit the -bill- (Christmas gift cards), also they both go with everything in my closet.

I knew that if I was going to spend the gift cards it had to be on things I wasn't going to be able to buy (because of the price tag). Also it had to be something that was going to get a lot of use, be durable and not be part of a passing trend. -Quality vs quantity, am I right?

These boots and backpack have already been worn a lot... So to my family, thank you so much for these awesome presents!

This chunky sweater comes out every year when we get that one 40 degree weather day, and it always keeps me warm. I'm glad I got this one last year. Even after de-cluttering my closet, it continues to be a keeper.

A New Year

Fleetwood Mac tee + Boucle slouch cardi + Breaker Heeled boot + Levi's Rugged Busted Knee skinny jeans + Arrow stone ring: Free People

I've been wearing this tee, this cardi, and these boots non stop. See? You haven't missed much since my last outfit post!

Below is one of my favorite photos from our Christmas morning. The light reflected so beautifully in our dining room as we enjoyed our Christmas breakfast. And this tapestry was such a cute and simple add on to our Christmas decor this year.

At the Rosser household it's become a yearly tradition to pack Christmas up on New Years day. But this time of course I didn't just stop there. I also managed to find time to get rid of a lot of clutter, and clothes I didn't wear. And it felt amazing to finally let them go.
Although I must admit that today I'm exhausted.

Here's to a new year where I will just keep de-cluttering as I go. Bring it 2017!

Happy New Year!
